Taryn McAleer – Environment

Taryn moved to Flaunden in 1991 with her husband Ian having previously lived in America for five years.  She has two sons.

Taryn was born in Cheshire and worked in the chemical industry culminating in her role as PA to the Chief Executive of an international chemical company.  She has worked as a volunteer in a number of charities, including San Antonio Community Hospital in Southern California and for the last four years at Returned to Glory, part of The Hospice of St Francis in Berkhamsted.

In her 30 plus years of living in Flaunden, Taryn has played an active part in village life, including jointly organising the Flaunden Millennium celebrations, various fundraising events including providing quiz suppers for 10 years and was co-editor of the Flaunden Flyer for 10 years.

Taryn is committed to helping to maintain and further develop the community within Flaunden and its surrounding environment.
